

Singing SAs and Trolley Treats for Finals Relief!
The student services team dressed up in Santa hats and sang well known Christmas Carols as the students came out of classes! Students were introduced to a variety of well known Carols to kick off their final exams week! They were entertained as they watched their SAs singing and even took videos. Another SA dressed as an elf passed out candy canes to students as they walked back to their rooms! Later that night, students got an energy boost and some encouragement to help them


Gingerbread Cookies bring sweet holiday cheer to MAIA
This week, MAIA students got in the holiday spirit by decorating an emblematic dessert of the holiday season, gingerbread men!!! With frosting, sprinkles, oreos, candy canes, and other yummy edible materials, students got creative and made some masterpieces! Check out some of our favorites below:


MAIA cooks for International Food Festival
Last week, MAIA students got to know other international students in the area at Worcester State's International Food Festival! Seven students shopped at the nearby Asian market in the evening on Thursday, and spent the night cooking dishes typical of the student's homes and hometowns. Noodles, meat dishes, and yummy sauces were the go-to favorites. On Friday, the students attended the International Food Festival and served their dishes at a table especially decorated with MA


Bowling Night!
This Monday, Caroline and a group of students went to a nearby bowling alley for a night of lights, music, and lots of games. Although many students had only tried bowling 1 or 2 times, they quickly gained strategy and skill that they perfected over four games. Some even mastered spin moves, while others kept going for the gutterball. We also got to watch the Patriots game on a huge screen above all the lanes, and learn about American Football and its many many rules. Overall


New York City Trip!
This weekend, Rachael and Caroline took about 20 students to New York City! A thriving metropolis. students were quick to use their city skills and experience a trip with lots of independence, exploration, and new opportunities to practice English and embracing studying in a new country. Getting Ready for the Holidays: Shopping Sales and Tasty Treats!
On Black Friday, our students got the full American shopping experience by spending the day at the famous Wrentham outlets. The Wrentham Outlets are an international destination for discount designer shopping and deals on many trends. Students got up at 6:00am to go shopping and spent the day immersed in the crowds, chaos, and experience that was Black Friday. This trip was especially helpful as winter has begun in Massachusetts.
