

Kayaking at Hopkinton!
Last week, students went on their last Field Trip for Session 5 - kayaking at Hopkinton Park! This trip was a great way for students, staff and teachers to get outdoors and cool off from being out in the warm weather. It was just enough of a risk for students to get out of their comfort zones, but still safe enough for all to enjoy! Students Reach New Heights on Rock Climbing Field Trip!
During Session 5, student have been enjoying a diverse set of field trips that have allowed them to take risks, face their fears, and try new things. This week, field trips brought students rock climbing! As students are reading the Odyssey in their classes, rock climbing was a chance for students to take their learning outside of the classroom as they climbed to new heights, as Odysseus was forced to do to survive. SoWa Farmer's Market
Students spent a beautiful Sunday in Boston, attending the SoWa Farmer's Market! They had a chance to look at the works of local artists, buy souvenirs from vendors, and support local artisans, farmers, and food vendors! It was a unique experience for them to go out and experience this popular pastime as well as to have the chance to support local businesses.


A Weekend on Cape Cod!
Last weekend, MAIA students got to experience a famous Massachusetts area, the beaches of Cape Cod! Only an hour from MAIA, these beaches feature stunning rocky vistas, lighthouses, sandy beaches, and quaint towns with lots of shopping and, of course, ice cream. MAIA students enjoyed all the sights and one SA even braved the icy waters to go for a swim!


Botanical Gardens and Weekend Matinees!
Students were able to get out and get some fresh air on the 1-mile loop hike through the grounds. They saw many beautiful gardens and enjoyed being out in nature! They also got to check out an ice cream shop and explore the gift shop to purchase their own plants following the hike! In addition to hiking, students were able to see the new American classic, Star Wars, during opening weekend in 3D. They enjoyed Solo: A Star Wars Story while eating some delicious pop and popcorn
