Annually, the Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar, which fell on Monday September 24th this year. For most MAIA students, this year was the first time celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival away from home and without family. Apple Picking at Berlin Orchards
This past Sunday, 25 MAIA students with SA Leah and SA Sam headed over to the lovely Berlin Orchards in Berlin, Massachusetts. From the farm shop, a hayride brought us into the orchards. The act of picking apples directly off the tree seems to encapsulate the American experience, especially in the autumn months. English Table Serves Up New Opportunity for MAIA Students During Lunchtime
Today, MAIA faculty, staff, and students formally convened the first session of English Table during lunchtime. English Table gives students a chance to practice their language skills in an informal, easy-going environment, and to interact with faculty and staff.
