Jalilah Gonsalves is a native New Englander from Lincoln, RI. She has received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Japanese from the University of Rhode Island in 2018. During her 3rd year of university, Jalilah studied abroad for a year in Kochi, Japan with a concentration in International Studies and Japanese. She spends most of her free time exploring new places around the East coast and hopes to travel more abroad. Jalilah’s interests lie in visiting unfamiliar places, playing volleyball and trying out new places to eat. She is passionate about getting involved with various events and activities around campus and enjoys playing ukulele when she has free time. Jalilah looks forward to getting to know the MAIA family and is excited to aid student’s matriculation into American colleges and universities.
