Jamie has been working here at MAIA since January of 2018. Previous to this he was at Wellesley College in Wellesley MA, and Olin College in Needham MA. 

 

He graduated from New England Culinary Institute in 2000. Since then he has worked in kitchens in Vermont, US Virgin Islands, Martha’s Vineyard, Montana, Tennessee, and Colorado. Besides restaurant
work he has also made cheese for a couple places in VT, owned a Food Truck, taught cooking lessons, was a food writer for a small publication, consulted various food businesses, and done Private Chef work. 

 

When he is not at MAIA cooking, he is spending time with his wife, and two young children.  He loves to explore new places in MA since moving here 3 years ago.

He loves to cook even when he is not at work. Jamie grills and smokes food year round.  He enjoys cooking for his friends and family as much as possible. It is not only his career choice, but also his hobby.

 

Someday he hopes to combine his love of cooking and agriculture, and Overalls into one, and perhaps own a small farm.  But that is probably somewhere further down the road.
