Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Peter Buschkopf has lived in the Midwest for the majority of his life. Peter completed his Bachelor of Arts from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2013 with a degree in both Spanish and Music Theory/Composition before teaching abroad. Eager to develop professionally to better serve international scholars, he will begin his Master’s program in Global and International Education through Drexel University in the fall of 2019. After working as an English teacher for three years in China and Chile, Peter served as International Student Advisor for Chinese high school students in the United States. About to begin his first year at MAIA, he is ready to welcome the incoming students, aiming to assist in their acculturation process through intentional personal engagement. He is hoping to utilize and share his interests in music, reading, and language learning in on campus activities.
