Volunteering @ Nashua Soup Kitchen

7 big-hearted MAIA students crossed state lines to Nashua, New Hampshire to volunteer at a soup kitchen. Nashua is the second largest city in the state, and many people in the city do not have food to eat or homes to go to. Our students felt their plight and decided to help. Immediately after finals on a cold day in December, our students greeted guests, served food, cleaned tables, assisted handicap individuals, replenished beverages, and washed dishes. In addition to the services they performed, our students provided a most valuable gift one human being can give to another: quality time. Students had the chance to speak with shelter clients and see first hand despite what walk of life one may come from, we all have something in common.
