Sheepshearing Festival @ Gore Mansion in Waltham, MA

On a beautiful, sunny day, MAIA students drove out to the annual Sheepshearing Festival in Waltham, MA--right on the outskirts of Boston. There they had a chance to tour the historical Gore Mansion, watch reenactors depicting life during Revolutionary history in America, get up close to traditional and modern sheepshearing performances, and see in depth presentations of sheep herding. Additionally, hundreds of vendors selling handcrafted wares from the U.S. were on display alongside delicious food being sold. Thousands of people crowded the meadow at Gore Mansion and students had a wonderful time!
