Six Flags and University Visits

This weekend, almost every student at MAIA went off campus to experience three different corners of Massachusetts! On Saturday, many students took the weekly Loop Bus to Chinatown in Boston, and others went on a hike with the Outdoor Adventure Club to Gates Pond Reservation. On Sunday, 45 students went to the largest amusement park in the Northeast, Six Flags New England!

Students went to the park on their annual Fright Fest day, which included spooky attractions and freaky feats to welcome the oncoming Halloween Season. Some daring students took on Superman, while others visited calmer attractions, like the carousel.

Also on Sunday, six students spent the day at one of MAIA's partner universities, UMass Lowell. Students participated in the university's fall open house day and got to listen to the university marching band, tour the North Campus which houses the business and engineering programs, and eat in the university dining hall. This was the first time some of our students got to see their future university in person, which was a rewarding and beneficial experience for all.
