UMass Boston Open House and Fall Foliage

October 16, 2017

This weekend, students took two great field trips, one to UMass Boston, and one to the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge. As many MAIA students are planning to go to UMass Boston after their year at MAIA, the UMass Boston trip was a popular option for students this Saturday! Students got to participate int he Fall Open House alongside hundreds of other prospective students and families. Students attended info sessions, got a tour of campus, and ate in the university dining hall. It was an exciting way for many students to see their future university for the first time!

Also this weekend, students got to experience the peak of fall foliage season with a nature walk to the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge. There, students learned more about New England nature, wild creatures, and why leaves change color in the fall. Students enjoyed learning about the area and took lots of pictures of the changing leaves, while spending time outside on a beautiful fall day.
