Bowling Fun and Scary Movie Night!

Students enjoyed a popular American sport of bowling this week at Bowlero in Shrewsbury. A student advisor took a group of 10 students and split the group into two teams for a fun night at the bowling alley. For some, it was their first time and some had played before. Students had a lot of fun playing and those that had played before taught others tips on how to play which was fantastic to see! Everyone was very supportive of each other and had a great time trying to nail the proper "bowling form." First-timers definitely improved and even got spares and strikes by the end of the night!

Following bowling night, students got a chance to experience American Hollywood by going to see a scary movie at a movie theater in Framingham. Two advisors took students to the 2017 version of IT, based on Stephen King's 1986 novel. Seven young outcasts in Derry, Maine, face their worst nightmare -- an ancient, shape-shifting evil that emerges from the sewer every 27 years to prey on the town's children. Banding together over the course of one horrifying summer, the friends must overcome their own personal fears to battle the murderous, bloodthirsty clown known as Pennywise. Before the movie began, students enjoyed eating some traditional movie treats, such as popcorn, candy and soda. It was hard to beat the original film, however, students enjoyed the experience and were up for the challenge of going to another scary movie adventure in the future!
