American High School Exchange

This week, students got the chance to participate an a full day of English and exchange with a local high school. Students at MAIA and a local school spent the last few weeks preparing and exchanging questions for each other, and getting ready for a day filled with interviews, conversations, games, activities, and more!

At the start of the day, local students presented on a typical day at their school, popular music and movies, and their favorite things to do in their free time. Following their powerpoint, MAIA students each presented an individual presentation to the auditorium of over 100 students and teachers! It was a great experience to practice English public speaking skills and learn from one another.

The rest of the day was jam-packed with activities and games aimed at getting MAIA and American students to interact, learn about each other's lives, and, for many, exchange information and make new friends!
