Henna Tattoo Night

Students explored traditional Indian culture through Henna Tattoos coupled along with a sweet treat, ice cream! Students arrived early to pick their seats at the table. They gained an alternative perspective of tattoo culture based on the Indian tradition of Mendhi Ceremonies. Henna is a plant that grown in the tropical climates of Australia, Africa, and South Asia. The henna plant has been used as a dying agent for centuries. The plant holds a dying quality that last for days, creating amazing art work, fabrics, and even hair dye.

Students took their time to carefully apply the temporary tattoos on themselves and friends. The tattoos turned out amazing! They were even more excited about the ice cream at the end.
