The Big E Festival!

This was a hot and humid week at MAIA! To celebrate the beginning of Fall, this week, a group of seven students and two student advisors went to explore, "New England's great state fair," The Big E. The Big E is the biggest fair on the United States' East coast and features foods and goods from all six New England states! Students were able to learn more about American culture by trying regional foods, playing games, and seeing local farm animals.

At the festival, students were introduced to some new and intriguing foods! Students enjoyed fried dough, doughnut hamburgers, fried pickles, fried Oreos, and baked potatoes with bacon bits and melted cheese. Students also got to see some Massachusetts farm animals, including cows, chickens, horses, pigs, sheep, and goats! Going to the Big E was an excellent opportunity for students to experience one of America's biggest fairs while learn about the different New England states and the goods they are know for.
